Partner's & vitalink Help Raleigh's Homeless

Raleigh, NC – The vitalink coats and blankets drive officially got underway on November 8 and already vitalink and seven local business partners have collected coats, blankets and cash donations to support the Raleigh Rescue Mission (www.raleighrescue.org).

“I can’t believe we just started collecting items last week and have already gotten such a positive response,” says Jeanne Frazer, President of vitalink®. “We now have seven partners who are coordinating efforts with their staff, clients and vendors to help make the coats and blankets drive an even greater success.” Last year the Raleigh Rescue Mission provided over 2,000 cold weather items to the homeless and needy in the community. The need is expected to be even greater this year.

Raleigh Rescue Mission was founded in 1959 with the mission of changing the lives of the homeless and near-homeless by ministering to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. As part of the coats & blankets drive, vitalink will be collecting new or gently used winter coats, gloves, scarves and hats, and blankets. Checks (payable to Raleigh Rescue Mission) or gift cards from Wal-mart, Sam’s Club, grocery or discount stores are also appreciated.

Donations may be dropped off at vitalink’s offices located at 4900 Falls of Neuse Road, Suite 115 in Raleigh from now through November 30th during business hours.
