"The State of Nevada, Energy Assistance Program contracted with vitalink to develop a social marketing campaign informing low-income households about the availability of energy assistance funds. Through their market research, vitalink was able to target low-income populations and design a campaign specifically to reach these households in the most meaningful and cost effective manner. As a result, the Energy Assistance Program realized a 72% increase in applications during the first quarter and a sustained overall increase of 51% during the first six months. There is no indication the momentum of the campaign is slowing.
